Season summary
Season Seven begins with Monica and Chandler over the moon after getting engaged, but even then a few things get in the way. As the happy couple attempt to plan their dream wedding, Monica discovers her parents have spent her wedding fund, Chandler's bonding with his new father-in-law doesn't go well, they struggle to take a good engagement picture, Monica worries Chandler will leave her, the couple cannot decide who should marry them (leading to a rather unexpected decision), Monica has trouble getting the perfect wedding dress, writing wedding vows proves to be a challenge and finally, Monica meets Chandler's highly unusual father.
Meanwhile, Joey discovers something of Rachel's he shouldn't, Phoebe finds out something unexpected about her grandmother's secret cookie recipe, Rachel is promoted and hires a handsome young assistant, Chandler confesses he hates dogs, Ross tries to introduce Ben to Hanukkah in a very strange way, Phoebe battles with her smoke alarm, Rachel and Chandler both seem to break Joey's favourite chair, Rachel introduces Ben to the world of practical jokes, Joey learns he is to receive an acting award, Rachel's sexuality is questioned and Ross enjoys his sister's Porsche.
As the season draws to a close, Chandler gets nervous about marrying Monica and the impact on their future, but ultimately the season concludes in a perfect fashion, with a huge bombshell dropped up at the altar...
